Candidate for the STUDENT PARLIAMENT:

Bilal Sheikh

Age: 19 years old
Campus: Trondheim
Study programme: Energy and Environmental Engineering, 2nd year

Candidate text:

My name is Bilal and I want to stand for re-election in the Student Parliament this year. I am 19 years old from Drammen and am pursuing my second year at Energi og Miljø (civil engineer), and have had the opportunity to be introduced to the student democracy at NTNU through last year’s position as a STi member. I want to be able to continue with this work and become even better at it, by using the experience and knowledge I now have aquired.

I will make sure to stand for opinions and issues that matter to you, and be able to represent the diversity at NTNU, as well as be an honest and proud representative of my fellow students. In addition to this, I sit on the International Committee at the Norwegian Student Organization (NSO), where I work with Student Policies and politics at the national level. One of our core issues is e.g. better integration of international students with the Norwegian student masses. By combining this position (at NSO) with a seat in the Student Parliament locally, I will be able to bring this knowledge to NTNU, and in this way improve everyday life at NTNU in the best possible way.

I am very motivated for this position! People who know me have seen my commitment and passion, and would describe me as a welcoming person who is easy to talk to. You can easily find me at Gløshaugen, Where I dont mind to have a chat with my fellow students. Feel free to contact me with inquiries or questions!

I want to listen to what you have to say. I want to make our everyday life the best possible. I want your voice to be heard. Thus, I ask for your trust this coming year. Happy voting.
