Candidate text:

I’m running to become the student representative in the NTNU-board to be able to create and secure the feeling of safety among students at NTNU in Gjøvik, Trondheim, and Ålesund. To be able to do that, I wish to better the communication between NTNU and the students. I want to create better and more clear streams of communication so that students, student associations, and student-driven organizations are being listened to and get the help they need. ‘Who am I supposed to talk to about this?’, ‘where do I go if I need to notify about something?’, ‘how can NTNU help our organization?’. These are the kind of questions students are asking frequently but are often left unanswered. I wish to work on establishing good and safe lines of communication so that students and organizations don’t have to walk in a maze where a lot of people tend to get stuck when trying to find the way.

It’s also important that the communication that comes from the top of NTNU and down to the students happens in a language that is understandable for everyone. As it is today, NTNU tends to talk to students in a form of language that mostly consist of strategic five-year plans and to establish regulations, while the form of speech students use is more casually about everyday struggles. I want to make this available for everyone so that the students understand that what NTNU are doing has a direct effect on them and their everyday life. This is very important to me and something I am going to work on, and I wish to represent the student body’s voice up towards NTNU.

I, therefore, wish to run in this election, where the goal is for students to be seen, heard, and understood!
