Candidate for the student parliament

Jakob Øygarden Selfors

Age: 20 years old
Campus: Trondheim
Study programme: BIHAV, Aquaculture engineer
Thorough, High work ethic, Patient.

Priority cause: Studentene først!

My name is Jakob, I am 20 years old, and I really want to represent you by sitting on the student council. Here’s why you should vote for me, based on some of the old Norwegian mountain code:
(1) Do not embark expedition without sufficient training.
And training I’ve got. I have served as a student representative at the department of biology, and I am currently elected as a faculty representative at the Faculty of Natural Sciences. Through these experiences, I have accumulated a pretty good understanding of how the student council and NTNU works.
(3) Show respect for the weather and the weather forecast.
I’m able to stand my ground in bad weather. I will not be hindered by headwinds – or rather as we say at NTNU – the rectorate. I will plead your case, and it shall be heard.
(4) Listen to experienced mountain-people.
I will listen to those who know what the students want: O̶l̶a̶ ̶B̶o̶r̶t̶e̶n̶ ̶M̶o̶e̶!̶ The students themselves! After all, we students are the leading experts on how it truly is to be a student.
To summarize: I promise to work to improve your time at NTNU, and the university overall – and most importantly: I promise to speak up for the students.

Hope I get to represent you in the coming year!
