WHAT ARE THE STUDENT ELECTIONS?
NTNU maintains an immersive student democracy with representatives on all levels, from your study programme to the university board itself, all promoting your interests. These are elected by yourself, and the 42 000 other students at NTNU. The elections are held twice a year.
Studentråd = Student council
The student elections work as a collective term for all the elections at NTNU where students are picked. All students have the right to vote and right to run. There is a prerequisite for running, namely that you are confident in Norwegian, as this is the working language on NTNU. You also have to be a student for the period you are elected for.
